Of course entering a foreign university is not only about Toefl and GRE, you have to be ready to make really good application profile, and the tests are just part of it. Basically at the time you will get an offer from university you wouldn’t even think about passing the tests in the near past, you would just simply forget it. But when you need to take tests and a deadline is in a few months (in my case in a month) you can’t think about anything else at all. As you face this problem you have to be very careful in choosing the school to prepare (for those who want to prepare for GRE by themselves – GOOD LUCK!).
Main difference between Kevin’s courses and others I can explain by one simple example. When I got 80 score in Toefl on the mock exam in the other school I was praised and they said, ” Hey, you are doing good job!” And at the same situation Kevin would say, “That’s not your score, buddy. You can get much better”. Also he used to “joke”: “I hate everyone who’s score is under 100”. And it’s not just words, he really gives you unique knowledge and practical skills that make you ready to achieve this score. He will give you all the tools for passing those tests with a high score; your part is to learn how to use them successfully. It demands enormous effort and pains, so be prepared that it’s not going to be easy. Kevin will wring out the most of you that you haven’t even suspected and he will make you use every free minute of you time productively (by the way you could improve your time management skills).
The courses helped me a lot to think critically rather than emotionally, to use brain rather than intuition. Seemingly simple advice “Do not like the choices” turned out to be the most problematic and it helped me especially with section of reading, changing my point of view. And there were many pieces of advice like that.
Kevin is just wonderful tutor, he is great psychologist, he motivates, he encourages, and he is not afraid to overcritize as far as he is telling the truth, besides he has a good sense of humor. But all that does not mean that you will chill out for a month and then easily get high score. Kevin will give you the key, but you have to open the door by yourself, which is challenging but promising issue.
I got offers from three American universities. Two of them gave me a tuition award up to 50%. And in two months starts my Master degree program in Art Administrating at one of the high-rated colleges in USA in my sphere – The Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
